Faculty Services Print Page

Welcome! In the Faculty Services guide, we are trying to make things easier for our faculty and adjuncts by putting all our library info in one handy guide. Check out these pages, but also come by the library for more detailed help with course reserves, placing a purchase request, library instruction for  your classes or a tour. Let us give you a tour and show you how to use our databases and online resources.

Have a great semester!

Getting Started

Who can use the Library?

Watkins Library materials are available for checkout to:

Watkins Students, Faculty, Adjuncts. Watkins Alumni may check out materials just as students do at this time with proper identification.* Fisk Students and Watkins enrolled Belmont students with ID may check out library items.

How long can I check out items?

We ask that all materials used by faculty be checked out for tracking purposes.  Normally, items can be kept for the entire semester but we will notify you if there is some urgent demand for the item.  All items should be returned at the end of each semester unless other arrangments have been made.

How do I get access to online Library resources?

The Library's online resources, including databases and subject libguides, are accessible through the Library Website (watkins/edu/library/) by selecting Search the Library on our home page.  Then, on the Search page, select Find Images and Articles  to get to our databases, or Subject Guides to access Library created subject specific guides. Pick up a Library Orientation page from the Library for a list of databases and login information.
