The Writing Center at Watkins offers free, one-on-one help with writing projects for students, faculty, and alumni of the college.

We cover research techniques, library use, and all aspects of writing for academic assignments and professional development.

Be advised that we won’t write FOR you,
but we’ll help in any way we can.

Meet the Writing Center Staff

Sara Kern has joined the Watkins Staff this semester as our new Writing Center Manager. A former library assistant at our very own Watkins Library, Sara is currently pursuing her master's of English at Middle Tennessee State University. She has worked as a writing tutor and instructor at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Lisa Williams is our backup tutor. While she is the director of the library, she got her start as a writing center tutor. She worked as a tutor for two years while completing a Master's Degree in English. She has also taught English and beginning French classes and is a certified ESL instructor.
