Writing Center Hours & Location
*Fall 2014 Writing Center Hours Now Available!
Starting Thursday, September 4, the Writing Center will be open weekly:
Tuesday: 4:30-7:00 p.m.
Thursday: 12:00-2:30 p.m.
Send an e-mail to us, submit the appointment form online, or simply stop by the library to schedule an appointment for writing assistance. We are happy to help!

The Writing Center at Watkins offers free, one-on-one help with writing projects for students, faculty, and alumni of the college.
We cover research techniques, library use, and all aspects of writing for academic assignments and professional development.
Be advised that we won’t write FOR you,
but we’ll help in any way we can.

Update 8/26: Schedule Your Appoinments Online!
We've made it even easier for you to schedule an appointment with a WC tutor. Simply click on the "Schedule An Appointment" tab, and complete and submit the form. Don't forget to look at the Appointment Checklist so you are prepared for your visit.
Update 8/21: Fall 2014 Writing Center Updates
The Writing Center at Watkins is currently in the process of updating and adding helpful materials and writing assistance opportunities to the website. We welcome your feedback and suggestions as we broaden our offerings.
Update 8/19: New Addition to the Writing Center at Watkins
Lisa E. Williams is the new Writing Center Manager. Lisa has worked in multiple writing centers and is also an English and Women's Studies lecturer at Middle Tennessee State University.
You can also contact Lisa Williams, our backup tutor, regarding questions about the Writing Center. While she is the director of the library, she got her start as a writing center tutor. She worked as a tutor for two years while completing a Master's Degree in English. She has also taught English and beginning French classes and is a certified ESL instructor.
